National Decorating Month: What do we really do?
It’s National Decorating Month and we’ve decided to take the time to tell you a little about what we do as interior designers.
Most of what you’re used to seeing is the before and afters, the transformation photos, the happy clients when they get to enjoy their refreshed space. But really, it’s all about the little details!
You may think of us as your local furniture store salespeople (who are great too) but as designers, we can actually source from hundreds of our trusted and vetted vendors from all over the world. We have access to pieces that may never hit the stores or be available to purchase online.
Starting out with personal consultations and of course, ending in a presentation meeting. Refeather Your Nest designers will provide a visual for our client, including a floor plan, samples of all items curated for the spaces.
With this access comes dedicated care. We will consistently communicate personally via text, email or call (whatever works for you), providing updates and follow ups to keep you always in the loop. We know the financial impact and time it takes to open up a design project and it’s our job to keep everything in order.
When jumping in to a large-scale design project, there are many moving pieces! With a designer by your side, it’s pretty much like personal project manager. From timelines, scheduling contractor visits, relationship management with all trades on the project (installers, plumbers, electricians, etc.), to tracking deliveries – we will and can handle it all!
