• On Saturday, April 22, 2017, the doors swung open and Mansion in May 2017 at Alnwick Hall – The Abbey officially commenced.  This special evening began with the guests touring the newly decorated designer showhouse, then attending a cocktail reception and dinner on the premises. Mansion in May 2017 will benefit The Center for Nursing Innovation and Research at Morristown Medical Center.

Right before the guests were allowed in the mansion, the designers had a chance to go through it ourselves and see the finished designed spaces.  We were all amazed at what everyone had done.  There is something for everyone to love in this designer showhouse – no matter what your style.

The earlier rain did nothing to curtail the supporters of this year’s Mansion.  The showhouse was buzzing with lots of guests, other designers, and supporters.  All were there to see this Mansion come back to life the way it was meant to be.

We spent four hours greeting guests and answering their questions about our design inspiration and about pieces in our room. A popular piece was our Hoop Etagere.  It’s a very unique transitional piece of furniture that can be used throughout the home and mixes well with traditional furniture also.

An archway of roses lined the entrance to the Mansion, and that set the tone for what everyone would see inside.  The effort that the Women’s Association puts into creating their signature fundraiser, Mansion in May, is incredible. We have been honored to have had a space in this Mansion, as well as two previous Mansions.  Each time we see the level of commitment, work and energy that these volunteers bring to this charity.  And we are proud to be a part of this delightful event.

Come for a stroll through the lush gardens and enjoy the beautifully-decorated rooms in the Mansion.  Stop by our Space No. 23.  You can also enjoy lunch at The Canfield Café on-site. The doors open every day in May from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
