• Alnwick Hall’s encore has finally arrived. It waited patiently, quietly for a return to the spotlight and now The Abbey takes its place with past Mansion in May designer showhouses to highlight the best talents in interior and landscape design.

A mania of activity has surrounded The Abbey for months. All the neglected surfaces of this old mansion have been replaced with the artistic genius of the designers. Gone are the cobwebs and dust.  And just wait until you see the transformation…

The media was invited into the mansion before the official May 1 opening.  We enjoyed meeting representatives from the local, regional and state media outlets who toured the mansion.  We answered their questions and talked about our inspiration for the space. The links to the articles can be found on mansioninmay.org.

After the media event, Design NJ magazine hosted a participant’s tea for all the designers to thank those who helped.  We were pleased that Stephanie Staiano, Donlon and Shawn Savercool were among our guests.  Their help was instrumental in our room and we are grateful to them.

The Abbey, once a part of Morristown’s distinguished past, has come to life again and we are so thrilled to be a part of this amazing event.  As you walk through it, you can easily imagine what living here must have been like.  We’re still dazzled by it every day.

Mansion in May is the signature fundraiser of the Women’s Association for Morristown Medical Center. The monies raised with go towards the establishment of The Center for Nursing Innovation and Research at Morristown Medical Center.

    Come one, come all….
